The Keybug is a recurring character of the web horror comedy series Murder Drones, created by Glitch Productions. They were a worker drone who is first seen in the episode "Cabin Fever". It resembles a robotic cockroach who has the ability to project live-update text bubbles as of means to communicate to people.
Why They Aren't Heroic Nor Villainous?
- Other than it being a robotic bug that is used as a key for the Cabin Fever Labs and not being a villain while not having enough heroic traits or actions, they are not a villain nor heroic enough to be a hero.
- While one of its options of REGISTER TORTURE CHAMBER COMPLAINT and 'END MY SUFFERING' are both very questionable, it is never really shown of what usually happens with these two actions and that the Keybug has never been shown to have killed anybody, making it not deemed to be heinous enough to be a villain either.
Biography
The Keybug would be seen in an abandon Cabin Fever in the episode "Cabin Fever", when the Keybug would crawl onto Uzi Doorman's arm, getting angry at the latter when she tried to slap it by making an ">:(" face. It would scan Uzi Doorman's face, seeing Uzi's face as Nori's before asking her several options, such as SUBMIT TIMECARD, PTO REQUEST, REGISTER TORTURE CHAMBER COMPLAINT, END MY SUFFERING ( PROMO OFFER DISCONTINUED ), or CALL ELEVATOR. However, it did not pick up Uzi's voice enough and was not able to generate the words Uzi used when the latter attempted to ask it more questions about the elevator, with the Keybug deeming Uzi's request as invalid.
The Keybug would later be seen with Uzi holding it to try to communicate with N from the works to avoid getting V's attention, only for N to end up blowing Uzi's cover by accident, with the Keybug making an ":O" face with its text bubble. At the end of Cabin Fever, the Keybug will come with Uzi to return to the colony's base and hides itself under her beanie.
In the episode "Home", while Uzi was trying to regain N and V's memories, The Keybug would be on Uzi Doorman's head. The Keybug would threaten Khan Doorman by telling him "IT'S LIFE OR DEATH DAD! >:(" when the latter tries to talk to Uzi while she was busy. However, Doll would decide to get the Keybug with Doll and Uzi ending up getting into a fight for a while the Keybug begs for them to stop and being scared about the fight. Uzi would eventually tell Uzi to go so she can try to work more on looking into N's memories, before throwing the Keybug at Doll's face before slamming the door behind her. Doll would be at a frozen lake to give the Keybug to "Tessa" and J in exchange for an alliance.
In the episode "Dead End", The Keybug would be seen being held by Doll to get it back from "Tessa" and would teleport out of the area before she gets chased by everyone. Later, where Doll seems to be "boot-looped", Uzi, N, V, J, and "Tessa" would approach Doll to try to snatch the Keybug from her, with "Tessa" twirling and tapping the Keybug with her finger, only for the Keybug to not like "Tessa" and deeming her as an unauthorized user. Doll would then wake up and would reveal that her boot-loop was all a fake-out, using the powers of the Absolute Solver to take the Keybug back to place it on the proxmity reader while the Keybug would be shown exclaiming "💀 BRUH.JPG" right after Doll escapes with the elevator after having tricked the group.
In the episode "Absolute End", the Keybug would be seen riding on Sparky, while the latter and V were plating chess.
Personality
Due to not speaking, not too much is known of Keybug other than it has the ability to access the Cabin Fever Labs' elevator. However, it is shown to not be happy whenever anyone tries to toss, spin, or squish it. However, it is shown to have a questionable morality, as one of it's options also includes stuff like the "REGISTER TORTURE CHAMBER COMPLAINT". It is also shown to be a bit of a jerk as it did threaten Khan Doorman.
