In the movie Cars, Kori Turbowitz first appears at the Motor Speedway of the South, where she conducts an interview with Lightning McQueen just as his team is about to leave due to his growing arrogance. Her next appearance occurs when Mack arrives at the Los Angeles International Speedway, where she is set to cover McQueen's highly anticipated arrival. However, Kori and the other members of the press are dismayed when they discover that McQueen has gone missing, creating a wave of confusion and concern among the reporters. Towards the film's conclusion, Kori reappears, this time to thank Doc Hudson for his crucial role in locating Lightning McQueen, showing her appreciation for his help in resolving the mystery of McQueen's whereabouts.
