Kulu-Ya-Ku is a species that appears in the science fantasy videogame Monster Hunter.
They are Bird Wyverns that have first appeared in Monster Hunter: World.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
- It is because they are docile even to the hunters. They only attack the hunter when threatened.
Appearance[]
Kulu-Ya-Ku resembles Velocidrome and other raptorial Bird Wyverns in terms of body form. This creature has feathers on its head and arms and is coated in light brown scales. It has a face that resembles a dodo, and as it eats, its four tiny spikes on its tongue are employed to stop the egg yolk from seeping out. Given that oviraptors were believed to steal and consume dinosaur eggs and that they had sickle-shaped second claws on each foot, it is most likely based on a mix of a velociraptor and an oviraptos.
Abilities[]
Kulu-Ya-Ku may utilize its ability to lift tiny stones to defend itself from oncoming attackers. It can also perform a leaping smash to shock enemies or throw these boulders at them from a distance. They are frequently observed robbing Monster nests, particularly the Rathian's, of their eggs. Rocks may be readily removed from the Kulu-Ya-Ku's hands by hunters using Slinger Ammos.[1] Hunters can also shatter the rock by repeatedly striking it with their weapon. Both Kulu-Ya-Ku's limbs and head may be injured.
Kulu-Ya-Ku may now dig up and use ore chunks or flint rocks in place of ordinary rocks when they reach Master Rank. Chunks of ore stun hunters more readily and do more physical damage. On the other hand, flint rocks have the potential to ignite upon impact and cause harm to a limited area. It's unclear what influences Kulu-Ya-Ku's choice of rock because the Bird Wyverns appear to be able to select all three in all known environments.
Behavior[]
When confronted by hunters, Kulu-Ya-Ku are far more submissive and serene than other raptorial bird wyverns. But they will fight back if assaulted.
