The Kushala Daora are an Elder Dragon species that appears in the science fantasy videogame franchise Monster Hunter, first appearing in Monster Hunter 2 as the main antagonist.
Why aren’t they heroic or villainous?[]
- They are mainly minding their own business until the hunter comes.
Physiology[]
Kushala Daora is a metallic-skinned dragon. Its enormous wings appear even more disproportionately massive in relation to its body because they join at the base of its tail. On either side of its head are two horns that curve backward and mix in with the spikes on its back. Its body is obviously surrounded by wind. Kushala may be rusting because of her somewhat reddish nose.
Abilities[]
Kushala Daora can fire blasts of compressed air, produce gigantic tornadoes to suck up enemies, and trigger severe storms in its proximity in addition to its metallic skin that can shield it from assaults. More infamously, when it becomes agitated, it can create a wind barrier that gets stronger over time. This barrier creates enough wind pressure to repel strikes that aren't directed at its head or tail and to blow back hunters, leaving them open to Kushala Daora's attacks. Nevertheless, if Kushala Daora is poisoned or has its horn damaged, this wind barrier may be lessened or eliminated entirely.
Kushala Daora's storms might cause new illnesses based on the environment they encounter. For example, in colder climates, Kushala Daora can cause chilling winds. In addition, Kushala Daora seems to have a restricted capacity to create the Dragon element, which it employs to enhance its physical strikes.
Behavior[]
In Area 7 of the Jungle (MHFU), Kushala Daora is seen consuming ore and drinking water. After becoming rusty, Kushala Daora will lose its skin, however some rusted Kushala Daora haven't done so yet. Being an Elder Dragon, Kushala Daora is by nature docile and will only strike when provoked or attacked.
Habitat[]
Although Kushala Daora can be fought anywhere, the Snowy Mountains are the primary location. It may occasionally be seen in the desert and in the jungle (G-Rank Quest). Fighting Rusted Kushala Daora is possible within the town. Kushala roosts in the upper regions of the Elder's Recess in the New World.
