Kyle is a minor character from the Despicable Me franchise. He is Gru's pet "dog".
Biography[]
Despicable Me[]
Kyle is dozing off on the alligator sofa when Gru gets home. He moves the creature out of the way so he can eat his muffin, but gets sidetracked when the doorbell rings. When Kyle wakes up, his owner is picking up his muffin, so he bites Gru. Gru is informed of the theft of the Pyramid by Dr. Nefario, breaking up the quarrel between the two. Kyle being thrown into the sofa by Gru, and when he turns to go to his hiding place, Kyle gets scared and flees into another area of the home.
The girls face Kyle, who is still somewhat hostile, after Gru adopts them and shows them about his home. The dog and owner fight once more, but this time Gru sneaks up on the females and tells him that they are guests, not treats. When Gru responds that Kyle is his "dog" in response to Margo's question about who he is, Kyle growls. Agnes appears to think so, as she remarks, "Oh, fluffy doggy." Before Agnes can catch Kyle, he takes off, and when Margo inquires about his breed of dog, Gru responds, "He's a...I don't know."
Later, a cannon squashes Kyle when he tries to avenge Agnes. After appearing to have survived, he approaches the girls covertly as they are playing. When Agnes notices this, she reaches out to hug Kyle. Later, Gru sees him when Agnes and Edith have transformed him into a female.
Kyle appears to have been Agnes's buddy after Gru saves the three girls, and he now serves as her devoted pet. As it was discovered that Kyle had consumed the Sleepy Kittens book, Gru created a new one that he refers to as One Big Unicorn.
Despicable Me 2[]
Kyle dress up like a dragon for Agnes' birthday celebration. He goes to the bathroom in Gru's front yard after the party, but Gru places him in Fred's. Prior to this, Lucy observes Gru's yard via an AVL telescope-like scanner; Kyle is labeled as "SPECIES: UNKNOWN" by the detector on the screen.
Kyle subsequently gives Gru the wig from Floyd Eaglesan's store as they are playing with Edith. After a while, Kyle witnesses a destructive and altered Kevin show up at the house. Observing the behavioral shift, Kyle tries to protect the house with aggression, but he gets too frightened when he sees Kevin and flees.
Along with his family, Kyle attended Gru and Lucy's wedding and shot photographs.
Minions[]
In the end, Kyle made an appearance as a puppy. He first appeared when Gru stole the queen's crown and placed it on top of him. Later in the credits, he also made an appearance when Gru and the Minions attempted to bathe the sleeping Kyle. However, they unintentionally roused him up when Stuart took a photo, and Kyle viciously beat Gru while Stuart continued to take shots.
Despicable Me 3[]
One day after Gru was dismissed, Kyle shows up. He is observed attempting to consume the newspapers, but Gru intervenes. Dru returns after Gru launched his majordome away, and Kyle bites the man in the thigh.
