Lavasioth are a species that are from the science fantasy videogame, Monster Hunter Frontier Season 1.0.
Physiology[]
With its hardened lava covering forming a strong outer shell, Lavasioth resembles a bipedal coelacanth fish. To aid in swimming through the dense lava it lives in, it has two dorsal fins, two pectoral fins, two pelvic fins, and a long, thick tail. Its rounded features and wide, round eyes give it a fish-like head appearance. Its mouth is full with needle-like, sharp teeth. Despite lacking claws, its strong hindlegs can sustain it on land thanks to their fins.
Abilities[]
It moves and attacks in a manner that is somewhat reminiscent of a Plesioth. Large magma balls may be fired at hunters by it. These disperse into smaller molten rocks that can still cause a lot of harm when they reach the ground. Lavasioth has a reputation for crushing or slamming assailants with its massive body weight.
Behavior[]
Lavasioth is a lava-dwelling, swimming Piscine Wyvern that is seldom seen. It is territorial and will attack outsiders on sight, much like other huge monsters do.
Habitat[]
Lavasioth inhabits volcanic regions such as Elder's Recess and the Volcano.
