Legiana are a species that are from the science fantasy videogame, Monster Hunter: World.
Why aren’t they heroic or villainous?[]
- They are mainly minding their own business until the hunter comes.
Physiology[]
With wingtips resembling leaves and striped skin patterns, Legiana is a mostly beige and navy-blue colored Wyvern. There are two fins on Legiana's head that resemble antennae and are connected to the back of its neck by a thin membrane. Legiana is able to move quickly and release chilly gusts because of its membrane. Its muscular legs finish in sharp talons, and its eyes are a blazing yellow. Its entire body is coated in the same color striped pattern as its face, tail, feet, and wingtips, which are all dark navy blue. When folded, the four unique flaps at the tips of its wings overlap one another. Its tail features three retractable fins on the dorsal, left, and right sides. The tips of Legiana's wings resemble stars. The back is also dark blue.
Behavior and Abilities[]
Legiana may cause its prey to lose their capacity to flee by radiating a cold breeze from its body. Using its talons to take its prey out of the air, it soars with incredible agility and precision. When two Flying Wyverns come into contact, Legiana will occasionally engage Paolumu in combat. Its powerful legs may propel even medium-sized monsters like Paolumu farther from its grip. Simply by seizing one with its talons and chewing into it, Legianas have been seen consuming Raphinos.
Due of their strong sense of territoriality, legiana will fight anything that tries to enter the higher Coral Highlands region. That Third Fleet being stuck in the highlands was the fault of a Legiana.
A flock of Legiana arrived out of nowhere in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, escaping the Ancient Forest ostensibly attracted by an enigmatic sound. The Hoarfrost Reach mission began as a result of this incident.
