The Lunagaron is a Fanged Wyvern that was first introduced in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.
Physiology[]
Similar to New World Fanged Wyverns like Odogaron and Tobi-Kadachi, Lunagaron is a big, wolf-like Fanged Wyvern. Its back has many ridges, and its body is coated in white-edged cobalt scales. Lunagaron's body and claws will turn into spikes of ice when he is furious.
Abilities[]
It can climb up and jump off walls and big boulders with ease, just like other Fanged Wyverns. Its agility allows it to execute acrobatic maneuvers and many assaults with its front legs and teeth. Lunagaron has a particular organ that allows it to cool the air it breathes, which then circulates throughout its body as a peculiar kind of thermoregulation. Additionally, it can use this ability to breathe freezing mist to weaken enemies, freeze its claws to improve its physical strikes, and construct ice armor to protect itself. Even in the presence of the weather, this ice is said to be impervious to melting. As a result, Lunagaron can live in non-cold conditions.
Normally quadrupedal, a sufficiently enraged Lunagaron will exhibit a "true form" in which it takes a bipedal stance after shutting off its thermoregulation and allowing its hot muscles to enlarge. It is more aggressive in this stance and will use its new position to launch more deadly claw strikes, like grapples and quick swipes. It will topple over and return to its quadrupedal form if its ice armor breaks.
Behavior[]
Lunagaron, who is fiercely hostile and a natural hunter, eats smaller monsters, including some smaller huge monsters like Aknosom. In Turf Wars surrounding different locations, such the Citadel, it frequently faces off against other hazardous creatures like Zinogre, Garangolm, and Malzeno/Primordial Malzeno.
Habitat[]
Although Lunagaron's primary domain is the icy caves of Elgado's Citadel, it is initially seen in the Shrine Ruins of Kamura. Lunagaron has been observed to live in more temperate regions like the Jungle (MHRS) because to its physicality and thermoregulation skills, which let it to withstand a broad range of situations and temperatures.
