The Malfestio are a species that are from the science fantasy videogame Monster Hunter Generations.
Physiology[]
Malfestio has an owl-like appearance. It has blue plumage covering its body, a yellow collar, a grayish belly, and a white face with red eyes and a short beak. Its head has long, backward-pointing tufts with yellow tips. Its legs have yellow highlights, and they terminate in scaly feet with one little vestige toe and two talons. Bright blue membranes cover its wings. Its wings are covered with long, blade-like claws. It has three points on the end of its flattened tail. It can spin its head to see right behind it, much like an actual owl.
Abilities[]
Malfestio may create yellow scales from its feathers that confuse and disorient their prey. It may generate an ultrasonic beam that can readily induce sleep in its target. Normally hidden, the Bird Wyvern's claws along its wings become visible when it grows angry. It will start using these claws as weapons when it enters anger mode.
Behavior[]
The nocturnal predator Malfestio attacks victims with its talons and wing claws. It sleeps in trees, just like Nargacuga, to elude terrestrial predators.
Habitat[]
It is known that Malfestio lives in the Primal Forest, the Deserted Island, and the Jurassic Frontier.
