Called "The Twins" by many, Mia and Tia are identical twin Mazda Miata sisters who identify as Lightning McQueen's biggest admirers. But they may be very erratic; following McQueen's abduction, the twins unexpectedly develop a strong affection for Chick Hicks. By the film's conclusion, they had become McQueen's ardent supporters once more, turning on Hicks during his awkward award ceremony after he purposefully forced The King to crash in the tie-breaker race. As shown during the closing credits, Mia and Tia eventually relocate to Radiator Springs with McQueen and take jobs as waiters at Flo's V8 Cafe. The twins worked as servers at Top Down Truck Stop, where McQueen stopped, in a sequence that was cut from the Cars DVD.
Cars 2[]
In Cars 2, Mia and Tia make a brief appearance, applauding as Lightning McQueen passes them at the Radiator Springs Grand Prix at the film's conclusion.
Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales[]
The twins are often seen as Mater fans in all of the Mater's Tall Tales episodes (with the possible exception of Time Travel Mater, where they are represented as contemporary automobiles and would be out of place if they were present). Although they are typically only supporting characters, they play significant roles in Mater Private Eye to the point that each plays a distinct part in the narrative.
