Monoblos are a species that are from the science fantasy videogame Monster Hunter.
Physiology[]
Large wyverns, Monoblos resemble Diablos a great deal and have a brown, rock-hard texture to their carapace. But unlike Diablos, a Monoblos's skull resembles that of a Ceratopsian dinosaur, primarily a Styracosaurus. It has a beaked mouth, a long, pointed nasal horn that resembles a spiral, and a massive frill on the back of its head that takes on several red colors when it becomes agitated. It is also decorated with different-sized spikes. Monoblos possesses two little yellow eyes with pupils that are slit vertically. Its back also has a carapace that resembles frills. With four spikes on each side and one at the end, the tail club resembles a mace more than a Diablos.
Abilities[]
They don't have a breath attack, but their roar is still regarded as a deadly weapon. Their athletic prowess allows them to repel hunters with tailswings and horn thrusts. Their ability to burrow beneath the desert's dunes also allows them to ambush any possible adversaries.
Behavior[]
Being hostile, monoblos will attack any Hunter they come across. Their head will get inflamed with crimson stripes when they are sufficiently furious. They become angry easily, and when they are, they will strike harder and move quicker.
Habitat[]
The Desert, Old Desert, and Dunes zones are the only places where monoblos have been observed. They have also been spotted living in the Everwood's dry regions.
