After his son Grisha made the mistake of illegally going outside the internment with his sister Faye, causing her death, Mr. Yeager tried his best to keep Grisha in check and to make sure he never rebels against the Marleyan government, so he can keep his family safe. When this eventually fails and Grisha is arrested for treason and deported to Paradis Island, Mr Yeager turns into a man who is wrecked with guilt, believing his actions towards are what's responsible for his son's fate. After the exile of his son and daughter-in-law, he and his wife became the legal guardians of their grandson, Zeke Yeager.
