Mylius Zeramuski was a minor character in the manga and anime, Attack on Titan. He was a member of the 104th Trainee Corps that fought during the battle of Trost District, being stationed in Squad 34 together with, Eren Yeager, Armin Arlert, Thomas Wagner, Mina Carolina and Nac Tias. He would after being deployed be killed in action during the battle.

Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]

Apearance[]

Mylius was young man with grayish blonde hair that he kept in round shape, while also having grey eyes. He was furthermore of average height.

He wears the standard Trainee Corps uniform with a greyish white shirt underneath.

Personality[]

Mylius appeared to be careful in the time he was shown, not really being as optimistic to fight the Titans like his fellow comrades before departing. He also warned Eren of not going out on his own, showing his cautiousness.

Story[]

Background[]

Mylius was born on November 23rd somewhere in the southern parts of Wall Rose. When he was old enough, Mylius joined the 104th Training Corps southern branch in the year 847.

Battle of Trost District arc[]

In 850, Mylius' training is over, and he is ranked outside of the top 10.

Just before the day where Mylius and the others can select in what branch they want to be in. The Colossal Titan appears and breaches the outer gate of Trost District, causing Titans to start flooding into the city. Mylius and his fellow trainees are instructed to get intel from their commanders in the HQ. Captain Kitz Woermann explains that the Titans have already advanced towards the middle parts of the city, that the vanguard squad has already been wiped out, and that the Armored Titan can appear at any point in time to take down the inner gate. Mylius and the other Trainees are put in the middle guard and are then divided into squads, with Mylius being put into squad 34, together with Thomas, Eren, Armin, Mina and Nac.

Mylius is standing on the rooftops waiting to be deployed, looking noticeably vigilant, wear as his team are much more encouraged for the fight. They get the orders to move out and as the squad advances, they notice that Titans have quickly reached the middle parts of the city. Out of nowhere, a jumping Abnormal Titan launches itself to the squad and as Mylius and the others are capable of evading it, Thomas is caught by it, and is stuck in its mouth. Mylius watches in horror as Thomas is swallowed whole by the Titan. This angers Eren Yeager to the point where he furiously launches towards the Titan to avenge his friend, causing Mylius to pointlessly yell at Eren to stay with the group.

Manga version[]

In the orginal manga version, Mylius watches Eren trying to go for the Titan, but he is immediately stopped by an agile quadrupedal Titan that bites off his leg, stranding him. Everyone looks in shock and Armin falls to his knees, unable to move. They notice that the quadrupedal Titan is coming for them, so they all expect for Armin attempt to fight it. Is proven to be unsuccessful, the Titan moves Mina’s wire causing to slam into a building and be caught by a smaller Titan. Mylius and Nac are bother grabbed by the quadrupedal Titan. Mylius despratly screams for his life but is devoured by the Titan.

Anime version[]

In the anime version, Mylius and the others follow Eren in his attempt to take down the Titan who killed Thomas. While they are flying through the streets, Eren is then attacked by a quadrupedal Titan, who bites off his leg. Completely out of nowhere, a large Titan appears out of different street and attemps to grab Nac, only for it to swat him out of the air in a bloody mess, killing him instantly. Mina gear was caught by a 4-meter-tall Titan causing to crash onto a building and is then devoured. Mylius now being the only active member left, has to take down the quadrupedal Titan by himself, but he is caught by it and while he desperately screams for his life, is then eaten alive.

Mylius’ death is in both adaptational works eventually reported by Armin as he states the death of his squamates.

Whatever was left of Mylius’ corpse would be burnt together in large bonfire with all other 207 deceased soldiers who died in the Battle of Trost.

Royal Government arc[]

Two months later, underneath the Reiss Chapel, Eren tearfully recalls Mylius as one of the many people that died because his father stole the Founding Titan from the royal family.
