The Nargacuga are a species that are from the science fantasy videogame, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
Physiology[]
It resembles a predatory black panther in appearance and demeanor thanks to its black scales, black fur, and terrifying red eyes. Its ferocious, black look raises the possibility that it is primarily a nighttime predator. There have been reports of seeing this wyvern in the Old Swamp, the Jungle, and the Great Forest during the day and night. As Nargacuga is in Rage Mode, its eyes shine a blazing crimson and as it moves, reddish lines follow. Its tail also grows long spikes that it can throw and combine with its blows for deadly effects. The Nargacuga's tail is prehensile due to the remarkable flexibility of its muscles and vertebrae. Its strongest armament is also its tail. It can also make rattlesnake-like noises by shaking the scales at the end of the tail.
They are taken aback by the shock of sound (Barrel Bombs, Sonic Bombs, etc.), just as Yian Kut-Ku, and as soon as they recover, they'll go into fury mode.
Abilities[]
Almost every aspect of Nargacuga's body may be used for assault, but its tail and bladed wings are most useful. Like with Tigrex, it can bite with its head. It uses its heavily damaged, bladed wings nearly the whole battle. Its tail tip is quite hazardous; it may cut with a white bar of sharpness or more. Its tail spikes will stick out when it's in Rage Mode until it exits (but they will still stick out when it utilizes tail slams and fires tail spikes). Nargacuga's powerful muscles enable it to leap rapidly across great distances and tremendous heights.
Behavior[]
Nargacuga is a wary and circumspect creature. It may approach a hunter stealthily with great ease. Nargacuga has evolved to dwell in gloomy environments. It is perched on tall trees that are difficult to access or may not be reachable, making it difficult for hunters to ambush it by surprise. Nargacuga's inherent senses will alert it when hunters approach the tree directly.
Habitat[]
Although there are missions where Nargacuga may be discovered in the Old Swamp, Old Jungle, and Jungle, Nargacuga is often located in the Great Forest. In Monster Hunter Portable 3, the Misty Peaks are home to Nargacuga. Nargacuga may also be found in the Jurassic Frontier of Monster Hunter Generations. They are currently found in the Guiding Lands, the Coral Highlands, and the Ancient Forest as of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
