“ | Do you get to the Cloud District very often? Oh, what am I saying, of course you don't. | „ |
~ Nazeem belittling the player, his most iconic quote |
Nazeem is an minor character in the 2011 Fantasy, Action Role-Playing Game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, he is a seemingly wealthy Redguard citizen of Whiterun and co-owner of Chillfurrow Farm, along with his wife Ahlam.
He was voiced by Keith Silverstein
Appearance and Personality[]
Nazeem presents himself as a man of wealth, wearing expensive clothing and speaking with a high and mighty attitude. He has dark skin, brown eyes and a shaved head.
He is often condesending towards his fellow whiterun citizens, his interactions are often rude and filled with snark, often towards those who sell food, such as Carlotta Valentina and Anoriath, who's food he implies is not fresh, using every opportunity he can to promote his farm.
Relationships with others[]
His relationship with his wife Ahlam is very strained, his belittling nature caused her to grow distant from him, spending most of her days tending to the wounded of Whiterun in the temple of Kynareth under the supervision of Danica Pure-Spring and Acolyte Jenssen, with whom it is implied she is having an affair with.
Nazeem claims to be a close friend of Jarl Balgruuf the Greater, claiming that he is his political advisor, despite that however he is, rather ironically, rarely ever seen visiting the Cloud District where the Jarl resides.
As for the rest of Whiterun, he is rather disliked, for his afformentioned belittling personality.
Why he isn't heroic or villainous?[]
- Simply put, Nazeem is nothing more than a wealthy egotistical jerk, he never does anything worse than belittle others and the closest thing to heroism he does is providing food to Whiterun through his farm, which hardly at all counts.
Trivia[]
- Nazeem is widely regarded as the most disliked Skyrim character, and is often subject of many memes and videos.
- Despite his seeming high status, during the quest "Decieving the Herd" in which the Dragonborn is sent by the Volkihar Clan to frame the Dawnguard for murder, if he is chosen as the victim, he will fail the optional objective of choosing a High Profile Victim.
