Nerscylla is a species that appears in the fantasy videogame Monster Hunter.
They are Temnocerans that appear in Monster Hunter 4.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
- Although they devour humans, that is all out of animal instinct rather than malice.
Physiology[]
Though far bigger, Nerscylla has physical characteristics with an actual arachnid. With orange hairs on its appendages and belly, and dark blue and gray marks around its joints, its body is mostly white. While the rest of its claws are dark brown, the front ones have a vivid orange color.
With the help of its two fearsome barbed hook-tipped claws and four strong legs, Nerscylla can grasp its victim and make it grip a variety of surfaces. It may launch an attack using the sizable stinger at the apex of its abdomen. Its back is adorned with sharp spikes made of crystallized venom, and its legs are covered in poisonous spikes that it uses to hold Gypceros skins draped over its back. It also has a large set of retractable jaws and fangs that are capable of biting someone poisonously. It can create robust, sticky webbing, which it utilizes to construct nests and capture animals.
Abilities[]
Nerscylla can swiftly spin a vast volume of silk web and is able to adapt to many situations. It is tough to release itself because of the strong, sticky silk it utilizes to swing itself across the air and catch food. Nerscylla uses its web to entangle its victim before bringing them in for the kill. There is a sedative substance in the stinger near the tip of its abdomen that can induce sleep. As Nerscylla advances through the ranks, she no longer has the power to slay hunters; instead, she acquires the status of Deadly Poison.
Habitat[]
In the Sunken Hollow, Nerscylla constructs sturdy web nests. Once they leave their nest, they may be spotted roaming throughout the Everwood and Primal Forest. Additionally, they have been known to build their nests close to agricultural areas with cattle, where they occasionally prey on unlucky farmers.
