The Nibelsnarf are a species that are from the science fantasy videogame, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.
Physiology[]
They may conceal themselves as sand dunes and burrow under the sand to ambush their victim. If a sand dune blasts out two little patches of sand from the ground every two seconds, it's likely a disguised Nibelsnarf.
It appears to be closely linked to Gobul, at least on the surface. It is as capable of swimming in the sand as Piscine Wyverns. With a vividly colored underside and a shark-like skull lined with many razor-sharp teeth, the Nibelsnarf resembles a salamander on the surface. Its body is similarly flat, like that of a ray. They may be observed utilizing their strong teeth to break the shells of raptors and genoplos to feed on them. The uvula, a delicate weak point in their mouths, is accessible to predators. Demonstrated attacks include jumping, charging, and spouting sand.
Abilities[]
With the help of a specialized organ that releases sand and debris along with its target, it may execute a "Wind Tunnel" assault. During this assault, the Nibelsnarf may move, much like a High-rank Gravios. Waterblight is caused by the "Wind Tunnel". In order to surprise opponents striking it from behind, it may also release a sizable cloud of sand from the gills on the back of its head.
The impact of a sonic bomb on Diablos is comparable to trapping Nibelsnarf if it is staggered while under sand. Pulling it out of the dirt in this stage will make him turn over like Gobul does when it's fished out. Nibelsnarf will then break through the earth and perform a whirling strike on the hunter. Sand will be huffed out of the Nibelsnarf's snout when it is furious.
Bombs positioned in Nibelsnarf's path of movement will be consumed by it. When the aforementioned explosive bursts within the monster after it has been swallowed, it will stun. It may be pulled out to allow extra time to fight when staggered. After a given amount of time, if you don't remove it out of the ground, it will spin and hit any hunters nearby, dealing a lot of damage.
