Biography[]
After the Mitfits have stumbled through the portal into the Overworld, the Nitwit snuck past them into the portal and ended up on Earth in the mines, encountering Dennis when the wolf was spiriting back through the portal. He mindlessly wandered until night fell, where he was then seen on a highway and struck by a car when he attempted to cross. The driver, Marlene checked to see if the Nitwit was okay where he then emerged unscathed and has a conversation with her. As an apology, Marlene takes the Nitwit out to dinner at a fancy restaurant she was going to. The two there start to share a romantic bond with each other.
The next day at Chuglass High School, Marlene is seen feeding the Nitwit some bread when the two are then visited by Marlene's ex-husband and a school teacher, Clemente Gunchie. Challenged by him, the Nitwit starts talking in fluent English which he had quickly learned last night on his date and berates Clemente for giving up his chances on his relationship with Marlene. He is also revealed to have taught Marlene to speak in the villagers' language and proposes to her, to which she then accepts.
