Bernard better known as Nursie was a minor character from Blackadder II.
She was portrayed by the late Patsy Byrne.
Biography[]
Nursie is seemingly the Queen's mother figure and is most often seen sitting next to her. She was one of five children. She fell in love with Captain Rum and was heartbroken to hear of his death. at the end of the series, she was murdered by Prince Ludwig the Indestructible.
Personality[]
While Nursie is a sweet woman she is not a bright woman. She seems to be unable make the connection that the reason her brothers foot fell off was because he cut it off with the scythe he was using to cut his toenails.
