An ocelot is a passive mob that may be found in jungles.
Spawning[]
In jungle biomes, ocelots spawn atop grass blocks. The spawning takes place at sea level on Earth (Y-level 63 by default) or higher. In 95% of cases, ocelots spawn as one or two adult ocelots, while in 5% of cases, they spawn as ocelot kittens. When an adult ocelot spawns naturally, there is a slim chance that two ocelot kittens may spawn.
Behavior[]
Ocelots avoid falls even if they are impervious to fall-related injuries. Baby turtles and hens are attacked by an ocelot. Before pursuing their prey, they stalk and sneak up on it. If they are opposed to it, they can kill through a door, a fence, or a fence gate. An ocelot is six blocks away from creepers. Unless the player leaves its blast radius, a creeper inside this range that has started to detonate does not escape. In Bedrock Edition, phantoms remain 16 blocks away from an ocelot. Kittens behave just like adults, except that they move more quickly.
One of the few monsters in Survival or Adventure mode that can run away from players in close proximity is the ocelot. Within ten blocks, ocelots approach players carrying raw salmon or fish. The ocelot runs away and doesn't try to approach the player for a few seconds if the player moves, turns their head too rapidly, or stops holding the object while they are within six blocks. By feeding an ocelot raw cod or salmon until heart particles appear, a player can acquire its trust and make it stop running away from players. The odds of each food item winning the ocelot's trust are 1 in three.
Breeding[]
A trusting ocelot goes into love mode when it is fed raw salmon or cod. In Bedrock Edition, breeding produces an ocelot kitten that has faith in the player. After they have finished reproducing, the adults are not allowed to breed for five minutes. These uncooked fish can be used to gradually enhance the growth of young ocelots. 10% is deducted from each cod or salmon's remaining maturation time.
