  • Self-delusion - in a few novels it mentions that Oola is self-delusional and her delusion puts her in to much denial to count as a villain or hero. While delusion leads some people to become villains Oola deluded's herself too much to not make her become a villain.
  • Vainty - in a few novels it mentions that Oola is vain which makes her to stuck on herself and her skills to be a villains or hero.
  • Prideful - it is mentioned in a few novels that Oola is full of pride. While pride can lead some people to become villains Oola is so focused on her pride it makes her to full of herself to show anything to count her as a villain or hero.
  • Headstrong - in a few novels it does mention that Oola is headstrong, making her too stubborn to count as a villain or hero.
  • Jealousy - as mentioned in a few novels, her pride and jealous kicks in when Luke was trying to reduce her but turned down his offer. Oola is so jealous of other people having what she wants that it makes her too envious to even think of becoming a villain or hero.
  • Innocent - not only does Oola have flaws that make it difficult for her to count as a villain or hero, but in some novels Oola is described as being innocent. Her innocent keeps her from falling into the category of villain, but she is also not innocent enough to count as a hero.
  • Uneducated - in twi'lek society it is mentioned that the guys don't believe in educating the females. This lack of education means that Oola doesn't have enough intelligence to be a villain or hero.
  • Bitterness - in the novels when Luke tries to rescue Oola it is mentioned her pride and jealously flared up when that happened, Oola turned down Luke's offer for help. Her bitterness towards others she was jealous of and bitterness of her old life make it difficult for her to count as a villain or hero.
  • A better life - as actress Femi Taylor said Oola followed Bib Fortuna to Jabba's place because she wanted a better life. Her old life primitive which mead Oola want to seek something better out of life thus making hard for her to be either a villain or hero.
  • Primitive - it's mentioned in a few novels that before becoming Jabba's slave Oola lived a primitive life this life made Oola want to seek out something better for herself. Being primitive makes it hard for her to count as a villain or hero because she is not as advanced as others to make her either one.
  • Helping Sienn'rha - in the novels when Oola arrived on Tatootine she was going to be delivered to Jabba, alongside another twi'lek named Sienn'rha. Later when Luke showed up to help Oola turned down his offer even though she refused to go with him, Oola convinced Luke to take Sienn'rha with him while she stayed behind Bib Fortuna. Despite this noble act it doesn't make Oola a hero because not long after Sienn'rha escapes Bib Fortuna tells Oola that now she will not have any rivals to compete for Jabba's attention, which excites her.

With all of those traits pride, vanity, bitterness, self-delusion, naivety, foolishness, jealousy, callousness and innocence that describe Oola's personality they don't make her a villain or hero.

Personality[]

Oola was a female Twi'lek who wanted nothing more than to find a better life for herself. She was so desperate that this would lead to the clutches of Bib Fortuna, who took advantage of her. Oola was full of pride, she was proud of her skills as a dancer and was hoping to impress Jabba with her skills. Oola was naive and foolish, which is what lead Oola to believe the lies that was told. She is described as being prideful, innocent, foolish, naive, self-delusional, headstrong, jealous, vain and optimistic.

Before her arrival at Jabba's Palace, Oola has a run-in with Luke Skywalker who tries to rescue her. When Luke tries to rescue her, it is mentioned that Oola's pride and jealousy flared up, in which she refuses to go with Luke, who was trying to help her. Oola was jealous of people becoming richer than her, famous and more successful than her, which is why she chose to go to Jabba's palace due to Bib Fortuna promising her fame, fortune and luxury. She was told that serving Jabba was a great honor, she didn't realize that he would be the scum of the galaxy.

Aside from being innocent, foolish, headstrong, proud, vain, naive and delusional, Oola was also selfish as well. Her selfishness is mentioned in "Star Wars: the Essential Reader's Companion" as it says that Oola selfishly continued to work at Jabba's palace, where she believed that she would become wealthy. Oola has also been described as being callous as well, but it is was also mentioned that she was taught to be that way from her training to become Jabba's slave.

History[]

Oola was born on the planet Ryloth and daughter of the clan chief. She dedicated her life to learning how to dance so she could use her skills to be finding a better life off Ryloth. One day her dancing skills caught the attention of Bib Fortuna who told her lies about his master Jabba the Hutt, promising her wealth and luxury if she agreed to become his dancer.

Oola left Ryloth and her family with Bib Fortuna to go meet Jabba the Hutt. However, once they arrived on Tatootine and at Jabba's palace, Oola then realized that this wasn't the life of luxury that she was promised. Bib Fortuna told Oola that Jabba was handsome, with Oola believing him until she finally met him. This made her realize how ugly and grotesque her future master was. By the time she realized the truth about Jabba, she wanted nothing to do with him, but by then it was already too late as she had already been enslaved. Her defiance to dance for Jabba would lead to her being dropped into the pit to get killed and eaten by the Rancor.
