In Monster Hunter 4, the Elder Dragon and Kirin subspecies Oroshi Kirin was first seen.

Physiology

The body of this subspecies is primarily dark navy blue with violet stripes, in contrast to the typical Kirin. Its eyes are a brilliant crimson, and its mane is black with faint purple tips. Its horn is also bigger, pinker, and has a helical ridge that runs from base to tip.

Abilities and Behavior

Compared to its typical relative, Oroshi Kirin is significantly more violent. Instead of using lightning strikes like its regular relative, it can use ice shards to defend itself.

Habitat

You can only fight Oroshi Kirin in the Tower Summit or Everwood.
