An uncommon neutral mob found in rainforests is the panda. Depending on its mentality, a panda may exhibit different behaviors and physical characteristics.
Habitat[]
In jungle biomes, pandas spawn infrequently in groups of one to two on grass blocks at the surface with a minimum of two blocks above them with a light level of nine or higher. They have a 5% chance of spawning as cubs rather than adults and are marginally more prevalent in bamboo forests. Although podzol is found in bamboo jungles, they do not spawn there. Pandas have a randomized personality at birth; the brown personality is the rarest and the normal personality is the most prevalent.
Behavior[]
Pandas behave like other neutral mobs; like llamas and bees, they only attack once when they are harmed. Pandas don't attack while they're peaceful. Any player carrying bamboo is followed by pandas, who cease pursuing whenever the person is more than 16 blocks away. If there is a thunderstorm nearby, they will also whimper. Adult pandas look for food, such as cake and bamboo.
