Paranoia was a minor character from the British Sitcom Red Dwarf. His first and only appearance was in the fifth episode of season 1, "Confidence and Paranoia".
He was portrayed by Lee Cornes who Also portrayed Dick Head in Bottom.
History[]
After Lister Comes down with what he thinks is pneumonia, He hallucinates fish rain and the combustion of the Mayor of Warsaw before finally hallucinating his Confidence and Paranoia in the drive room. Lister then goes down to meet both were he is prasad by his Confidence and shamed by his Paranoia. After Lister and Confidence leave the room, Rimmer stays behind to talk to Paranoia. As he talks to Rimmer one of the skutters tries to stab him with a syringe but instead as Rimmer yells at him he stops dead in his tracks. After this Lister and Confidence come back into the drive room and tell them they're going to look for Kochanski's personality disk. Later Confidence tells Lister that he killed Paranoia by feeding him into a waste grinder and flushed his remains into space.
Description[]
In contrast to Confidence as expected, Paranoia is a short thin man in a black coat and tie as well as deathly pale skin and bags under his eyes. He is pessimistic, depressed and hates Lister and will side with Rimmer when Talking about Lister.
