Prologue Rexy is a major character of the prologue of the Jurassic Park franchise.

Physical appearance

The Tyrannosaurus appears very similar to Rexy, later cloned from its DNA. However, it has some feathers on its body.

History

65 million years ago in the Cretaceous period, the Tyrannosaur came face-to-face with a Giganotosaurus. They engaged in a duel, but the Giganotosaurus eventually was victorious. As the Tyrannosaur died, a mosquito bit the dinosaur, leaving the DNA of the prehistoric predator to be found by InGen in the future. InGen would use the genetic material found within the mosquito to clone Rexy.
