~ Skarloey on Proteus
Proteus is a posthumous character from the Thomas & Friends Television Series. He was an old engine with a magic lamp. While he is long gone by the time the series begins, he is held in high regard by the other Steam Engines such as Skarloey.
In the audio book; Thomas and the Three Cranes he was voiced by Keith Wickham.
He is only heroic according to the stories of Skarloey and the others. Since we never see him interact with the other characters it's unknown what he is really like as a character.
Biography[]
Little is known about Proteus other then he lived in the mountains of Sodor and has a magic lamp that rumour says if any engine finds will make their wishes come true. At some point he died or was scrapped before the events of the series. Later on Peter Sam came across a statue of Proteus it would later be brought back to be put on display.
Appearance[]
He is a yellow TR No.3 Sir Haydn Engine with a long funnel and silver buffers.
