Originally appearing in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, Pyre Rakna-Kadaki are female Temnocerans and a subspecies of Rakna-Kadaki.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
Physiology[]
Although Pyre Rakna-Kadaki looks like a normal Rakna-Kadaki, there are a few significant differences: her webbing is now black, and her body is now light gray with blazing orange hooks. She now has considerably longer horns, which make her look demonic.
Abilities[]
She captures prey using her now-explosive webs, just like a typical Rakna-Kadaki, but she also employs fire and Blastblight. Additionally, she employs her young, the Pyrantulas, in more attacks than a typical Rakna-Kadaki by affixing webs that resemble fuses to them and setting them on fire to produce explosions. Additionally, some of her regular strikes will result in an explosion, leaving the Pyrantulas on the ground where she can direct them to attack or strategically place the "fuse bomb" attacks. Pyre Rakna-Kadaki is able to give the Pyrantulas extremely complex orders by using a unique sound-producing organ.
Behavior[]
The monster Pyre Rakna-Kadki is sly and violent. She directs her minions to overrun and overpower the victim before using her fires to kill it. She uses the Pyrantulas to entice the prey for an ambush. The Volvidon is one of the known prey.
Habitat[]
The Citadel of Elgado and the Lava Caverns of Kamura are home to Pyre Rakna-Kadaki.
