Qurupeco are a species that are from the fantasy videogame Monster Hunter 3.
Physiology[]
With traits similar to those of a Pterosaur, such fangs on its beak and leathery wings, the Qurupeco resembles a big bird. Its color is mostly lime green with some yellow-tinted scales. On its back, in between its shoulders, is a cluster of iridescent purple feathers. A small, stubby brown crest grows from the rear of the Qurupeco's head. The velvety crest of the Qurupeco covers the top of its head and, when it calls, spreads out to resemble a megaphone, intensifying the sound of the cry. Its brilliant red vocal sac, which swells as it calls, is its most distinctive characteristic, however.
On its wings, the Qurupeco also sports a pair of large, bulky growths that, like flints, emit sparks when knocked against one another. It sets its mucus on fire with these, resulting in flaming bursts. Probably to warn off any potential attackers, its fan-shaped tail may unfold to display brilliantly colored skin.
It appears that the Qurupeco has just three frontal fingers on each foot. It resembles a heel more than a rear digit, while perhaps having one. It also has some webbed feet.
Abilities[]
It summons assistance from a variety of monsters and uses its superb voice imitation to enhance and heal them. The Qurupeco is an extremely sensitive monster because of its soft neck sac and crest.
At the conclusion of a mission, Qurupeco's beak and wingtips, which resemble flint, can be shattered for extra goodies, such Flintstone and Strange Beak, respectively.
Like the Yian Kut-Ku, it is sensitive to loud noises while its vocal sac is inflated. Because of this, several of its powers may be effectively stopped by Sonic Bombs or other explosive things, which briefly confuse the disrupted Qurupeco and lead it to drop an item.
Because of its ability to fly, the Qurupeco will go both within and outside of the fight. It follows that traps cannot be put up with the purpose of capturing it as it runs away.
