The Rajang are a species that are from the science fantasy videogame, Monster Hunter 2. They are a species of Fanged Beast, infamous for their sheer strength aggression which they pit on any they deem a threat. Most notably, Rajang are known to prey on Kirin, a species of Elder Dragon, specifically to steal their horns and consume them, granting them control over electricity. Thus, if a Rajang is spotted near civilisation, the Hunters Guild will certainly send elite hunters to take down the beast before disaster strikes.
Why aren’t they heroic or villainous?[]
- Although extremely aggressive, all these are just animal behavior rathan than malice.
Physiology[]
As an ape-like Fanged Beast, Rajang closely resembles its cousin Blangonga, with the two even sharing several attack patterns. Still, there are some obvious distinctions, such Rajang's larger muscles, big horns, hairy tail tip, and electricity-based assault capability. The Rajang has crimson eyes and gold horns, with a black overall appearance. Their front body's fur lifts and turns golden when they get angry.
Behavior and Abilities[]
Rajang is fiercely territorial and incredibly ferocious, relentless, and aggressive. It will engage in combat with anything that intrudes on its domain; Elder Dragons are not immune to its fury.
Rajang's primary method of overwhelming adversaries in battle is with its tremendous physical strength and agility. Its forelimbs are also quite skillful, allowing it to pin and beat down opponents. Rajang have the additional ability to discharge beams or blasts of lightning out of their mouths. Rajang have a "Rampage Mode" in addition to their spectacular Rage Mode, which intensifies their power and speed and makes their forelimbs very tough and red, enabling them to parry almost any assault. If damage or amputation of the tail is done, or when sufficient time has elapsed, the Rampage Mode can be momentarily stopped or neutered.
Habitat[]
There are many different types of ecosystems where rajang may be found, including gorges, snowy mountains, and volcanoes. Because of their solitary wandering existence, they are rarely observed in the wild.
