In Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, the Rust Duramboros subspecies of Duramboros was first seen.
Physiology[]
On top of its naturally brown skin, the habitat it inhabits in has left its body encrusted in sand and grit, giving it a copper-pink tone. Despite sharing many characteristics with regular Duramboros, the Rust Duramboros has a wider, more axe-like tail club instead of the typical Duramboro's spherical, hammer-like club. The body of a fully mature Rust Duramboros keeps much of its juvenile appearance since it is not subjected to moss and algae covers.
Habitat[]
For a large, lumbering beast, Rust Duramboros has adapted to live in the harsh environment of the Sandy Plains. However, these herbivores may survive for months without food or water thanks to their huge back humps and thick tails, which can store nutrients and fat.
