Rusty and Dusty are the supporting protagonists of Cars fanchise.
Rusty Rust-eze was voiced by the late Tom Magliozzi and Dusty Rust-eze was voiced by Ray Magliozzi.
Biography[]
Living in his mother's garage in Boston, Massachusetts, Dusty Rust-eze, along with his brother Rusty Rust-eze, was a rusty compact van. He enjoyed making jokes and assisting other corroded vehicles, as did his brother. They created medicated bumper ointment as a result, perhaps around 1991. Their innovation served as the primary product of the little business they founded, Rust-eze, which was based out of their mother's garage. Over time, it became well-known and had factories around the nation. Even when the firm prospered, they continued to reside in their mother's garage. The mother of Dusty and Rusty said she was happy for her boys' accomplishments but wished they would ultimately move out.
In 2006, he and his brother held an open casting to find a representative for their product. Finally, one of their employees, Mack, suggested Lightning McQueen, a race car driver. They established a Piston Cup racing team and negotiated a deal with him. Due to McQueen's racing accomplishments, the brand gained recognition and a devoted following that supported both the racer and Rust-eze merchandise. They would arrange fan gatherings with McQueen during the racing season, when they would entertain the crowd with jokes as they awaited Lightning's address. They expressed concern to the media and said they had no idea where McQueen was when he vanished following the race at the Motor Speedway of the South.
Throughout his career, Lightning McQueen had encouragement from Rusty and Dusty. Rust-eze's record sales in 2017 were made possible by the racer's appeal. The brothers admitted that they could not have given Lightning the same resources and training that the following generation of racers received after their ascent to prominence.
They made the decision to retire and sell their business to Sterling as a result. After that, they went to the recently constructed Rust-eze Racing Center by Sterling to inform Lightning of their choice. Following that, they had a tropical beach vacation. After Dinoco purchased the business from Sterling, the brothers expressed interest in rejoining it.
