Sage VanDerSpin is a race car that formerly competed for the Gask-its team in the Piston Cup Racing Series.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
- All he did is just racing and he played it fairly.
Biography[]
Sage participated in the Junior Piston Cup Pro Series among drivers like Floyd Mulvihill before Cars. Later, in 2004, he joined the Piston Cup and became the youngest winner of the Junior Piston Cup Pro Series.
Sage can be seen racing at the Motor Speedway of the South in the movie Cars. Chick Hicks attempts to get a greater advantage over Lightning McQueen early in the race by causing a major collision that involves Sage and nearly every other Piston Cup competitor.
Rex Revler replaces Sage as the Gask-its racer, and Sage probably departs from racing between the events of Cars and Cars 3.
Appearance[]
Brawny Motor Company is what Sage is. His sponsor and number are underlined in white and colored in blue on this red, yellow, and blue Spark GT. There's a Gask-its treat on his hood. He has the number 80 painted in blue with a white outline on his roof, doors, and left headlight sticker, and his rims are blue. He has a mustache-like split grille. His eyes are hazel brown, and his spoiler is red.
