Yian Garuga Variants Scarred Yian Garuga were originally shown in Monster Hunter Freedom. Some games in the series, like Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, treat Scarred Yian Garugas as Variants of Yian Garugas without scars. Other games, like Monster Hunter Freedom, feature them as the typical Yian Garuga individual, despite the fact that Scarred Yian Garugas were introduced to the series before Yian Garuga individuals with uninjured faces.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
- Although highly destructive, what they do are animal instincts rather than malice.
Physiology[]
Yian Garuga and Scarred Yian Garuga are nearly the same in appearance. The primary distinction between the two is that Scarred Yian Garuga has a scar across its face, while this monster is missing one of its ears. Additionally, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is the only place to find it in a tempered state.
Behavior and Abilities[]
Yian Garuga and Scarred Yian Garuga behave similarly aggressively. Although the two monsters can perform nearly identical actions, Scarred Yian Garuga in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is able to launch a flurry of tiny fireballs while in the air and carry out more consecutive air strikes than Yian Garuga.
