The Shamos are Fanged Wyverns that have first appeared in Monster Hunter: World.
Physiology[]
Shamos has enormous orange cat-like eyes and a wolf-like physique. Shamos resembles a fish in appearance, yet its body shape is comparable to that of a wolf. While the rest of its body is coated in grayish-white splotches, its cat-like face is covered in red scales. The hue of its limbs is navy blue. Like a fish, shamos has a little fin on its back.
Behavior and Habitat[]
Shamos can see in complete darkness thanks to its atypically wide eyes. Shamos will attack in small groups since they are fierce hunters. To stave off possible predators like Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, they frequently form groups. When exposed to light sources or when a hunter tosses fire at them, they will typically flee because they are easily dazzled. Because of its blinding glare, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku is especially disliked by Shamos.
Habitat[]
Shamos emerge primarily at night and are found in the Coral Highlands' shadowy areas during the day. They are also present in the Guiding Lands' coral region.
