The Shen Gaoren is a Carapaceon introduced in Monster Hunter 2.
Physiology[]
Recognizable by its enormous green-yellow acid balls that it produces and launches from the back of its body, as well as by its gray exoskeleton and tall legs. Shen Gaoren hides behind the skull of Lao-Shan Lung. It can overcome most creatures because of its enormous size. It is unknown what Shen Gaoren eats, although like most real-life crabs, it is probably omnivorous.
Abilities[]
At times, Shen Gaoren would halt to go straight at hunters, attempting to crush one of its massive claws down onto one, unlike Lao-Shan Lung. Before continuing on its course across the valley, it can repeat this two or even three times. Nevertheless, it only does this when passing through the initial few zones of the Town area.
Behavior[]
Shen Gaoren is by nature a quite reserved monster. When it gets angry, it may try to attack them with its large, strong claws or make frantically motions with its legs and pincers. Otherwise, it walks around without seeing hunters.
Habitat[]
In the mountain ranges not far from Minegarde, Shen Gaoren makes an appearance.
