Temnocerans and a subspecies of Nerscylla, known as Shrouded Nerscylla, were first seen in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.
Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
Physiology[]
Despite having a dark gray body with white stripes and purple markings, a brilliant yellow underside and spikes, light turquoise hairs, and pink front claws, it is quite similar to its common counterpart. Shrouded Nerscylla dons a Khezu hide in place of a Gypceros hide.
Like the normal Nerscylla, which can exude poison because it feeds on Gypceros, it probably gets its unique ability from eating Khezu.
Abilities[]
Shrouded Nerscylla appears to be a master of web traversal, as seen by its ability to change direction mid-air by swinging on a new thread. It can also cause paralysis with its rear spikes and claws.
Habitat[]
The Everwood and the Dunes are home to Shrouded Nerscylla.
