Sigismund0, real name Marc, is a minor character in the SFM horror series Serverblight by 2IdiotGermans. He is the main antagonist in the episode AWARENESS, and the deuteragonist of the prequel story PROXY.

In PROXY, Sigismund0 was voiced by Silas Redford.

Why Isn't He Heroic Nor Villainous?[]

He was shown to be a simple college student with no overtly heroic or villainous traits.
Following his assimilation, Sigismund0's actions were no longer his own.

Biography[]

Past[]

In his youth, Marc started playing Team Fortress 2, maining Soldier and acquiring cosmetics under the username Sigismund0. He befriended a fellow player, the two bonding over their same vulgar sense of humor, YouTube interests, hatred of Pyros, and lack of real-world social lives. Over the years, they drifted apart for personal reasons, but kept in touch over Steam- and in 2023, Marc entered college, and found that his friend was going to college in the same area, so the two decided to become roommates, reuniting again. Marc kept playing TF2 rather regularly while his friend got occupied with work, studying, and other personal issues.

PROXY[]

A couple years later, Marc was playing TF2 one rainy night when his friend came home from a late shift, playing as RED Soldier. His friend went to his bedroom, leaving Marc alone. As his friend slogged through some assignments, Marc sent him some Steam messages inviting him to join, as the server he was on was empty and boring. However, his friend declined in favor of studying.

The server Marc was on, Badwater Basin, was slow and had bad teammates, annoying Marc, who kept asking his friend to join. After being turned down again, Marc complained that he liked the map but hated the server, but resolved to end the round first. However, as the server went on, Marc noticed all his teammates just loitering in spawn. Shrugging it off, he went around killing some BLU players, taunting and sending a screenshot to his friend- not noticing a BLU Scout behind him. His friend pointed out the Scout to him, so Marc tried to approach the Scout, only for the Scout to run off. Marc proceeded to follow the Scout on his friend's advice to kill him.

Marc eventually chased down and killed the Scout, only to suddenly realize his team had gone completely quiet, and he couldn't look away from his screen. Frightened, Marc sent some messages to his friend to explain what was going on, just as various players surrounded and stared at him. His friend eventually stood up to go check on him- but before he could make it, Marc was mobbed and assimilated by the players, who were proxies of the supernatural predator known as the Serverblight.

The assimilation made Marc's real body choke and convulse, bleeding and choking on his own blood, anchored to his spot as his friend burst in, desperately trying in vain to pull him away from the computer. Marc finally managed to gasp for help before falling comatose, his soul assimilated into his in-game character, now part of the Serverblight's gestalt.

His friend managed to get him to a hospital, but was unable to get him to wake from his coma, which was written off as preexisting conditions by the doctors. After months, his friend, unable to get over his trauma and grief, managed to move out to his own place with some financial help from his parents. At this time, to honor Marc's memory, his friend played Team Fortress 2 again, joining a Nucleus server as RED Demoman. However, in that server, the Serverblight tracked and infiltrated it using Marc, stalking his friend throughout the map, with the friend discovering Sigismund0 in the scoreboard. Through Sigismund0, the Serverblight started assimilating the rest of the players, then confronted the friend, having Sigismund0 hold out his hand and smile while sending Steam messages from Marc's account, repeating "You promise?", a message Marc had sent his friend when his friend promised to play TF2 with him on the weekend.

Terrified, and starting to be sucked into the game, the friend backed up in-game and fell down the map's central hole, automatically disconnecting him from the server. In the wake of these events, every time the friend opened Steam, the Serverblight used Marc's account to flood him with repeated messages to try to lure him back onto the game, and at night, the Serverblight tormented the friend with hallucinations and dreams of Marc screaming for help but unable to be saved. Eventually, the friend made a Steam post detailing these events.

Awareness[]

Sometime later, the Serverblight puppeteered Sigismund0 to join a Doublecross server, and a few seconds after he said: "oh god this game is never gonna end". Shortly after, he infected a player named snortyy and possibly more unknown players, likely on RED resupply. Then he went to the lower bridge via the sewers, he then saw Nexos, Gods god and Greymatter. When Nexos healed and taunted at him, he responded with the same taunt, which confused the players because the taunt could only be played while playing Scout.

After that, he likely went to the BLU resupply via the higher bridge, and infected most of the players, except for TheGrimJester, who managed to escape, but was likely assimilated shortly after.

He then hid in the courtyard, with his head now duplicated and other players connected to his body, his body became bigger and his arms became too long. Nexos saw him, but Sigismund0 didn't attack him, instead he repeated the same words again: "oh god this game is never gonna end". Causing Nexos to panic and run away.

After Nexos sucessfully finished the game, he left the server, the server restarted, and all of the assimilated players appeared on the spawns, pretending to be normal players.

Personality[]

Before being assimilated, Marc was shown to be a laid-back and generally amiable person. He appeared somewhat less dedicated to studies and work than his friend, having found more free time to play TF2 on a more regular basis, or possibly just had a different situation. Like his friend, Marc had a crass sense of humor in his youth.

Abilities[]

He, just like SnowDoom and panzerkampf, can duplicate his limbs.

He, just like all assimilated players, can assimilate other players.

Presumably, his line of "oh god this game is never gonna end" was sent during his time in Badwater Basin before being assimilated, likely in response to the assimilated players not doing the objective and making the server appear stagnant.
His assimilated version is the biggest assimilated player seen yet.
He is the first multi-body assimilated player to be fully seen.
He is one of the only assimilated players who is never seen screaming in agony, he only opens his mouth widely, without making any noise.
Like his friend, Marc's real-world body is portrayed by a Half-Life 2 citizen model in SFM, in contrast to the live-action used for Syrenix and dicksalot.
