Sir Lancelot is a minor antagonist in the film Shrek the Third. He is a popular student at Worcestershire Academy, the captain of its jousting team, and the main school adversary of his classmate Arthur Pendragon.
He is voiced by John Krasinski, who also portrayed Jim Halpert in The Office, and Goldenface in "Threat Level Midnight", a film within The Office.
Appearance[]
Lancelot is a young fair skinned man with thick black hair and a square jawline. He is also considered to be generally handsome and well-built.
Personality[]
Lancelot embodies the characteristics of a typical high school jock, being popular and athletic. He has a rude, arrogant and narcissistic personality, taking every opportunity to assert his superiority to other classmates (especially Arthur), be it a sarcastic comeback or physical beating.
Story[]
Lancelot is first seen practicing his jousting skills on another student, sending him flying by his charge. Shrek mistakes him for Arthur, whom he is looking for, and carries him over his shoulder against his will until Lancelot reveals that Arthur was the student he had just hit. At the assembly, Lancelot, along with the rest of the students, are greatly shocked to hear that Arthur is next in line to be the new King of Far Far Away. He insults his status, causing the students to burst into laughter. When Arthur announces his claim to the throne, he threatens to banish every one of his in and out of school enemies, namely Lancelot and the jousting team.
Trivia[]
