Spike is a minor character that is mentioned in the story of in the sequel "Another Apple Sleep Experiment", which were both written by Magpiepony. He was Twilight Sparkle's former assistant and former long-time friend.

Why Isn't He Heroic Or Villainous?[]

Unlike his heroic counterpart, he has been given very little characterization and being given no screen-time, only ever being mentioned by Apple Bloom, thus making him not be considered a hero nor a villain.

Biography[]

Spike was briefly mentioned by Rarity where she mentioned that she wished that he was around to help them.

He was later mentioned in the final chapter by Apple Bloom as Apple Bloom as having been been one of the few individuals who had been drugged, aside from Twilight Sparkle and Starlight Glimmer.

While the three were asleep, Apple Bloom will find out about Twilight Sparkle's dark secret of being responsible for making the Sleepless Potion and for being responsible of why Applejack became a psychotic serial killer that killed thirteen ponies.

When Spike eventually woke up and was told by the truth of what Twilight Sparkle did through Apple Bloom and Applejack, he didn't believe her until Apple Bloom revealed Twilight Sparkle's dirty secret of Twilight hiding the fact that Apple Bloom was alive and the fact that Twilight making a potion that was responsible for Applejack causing the massacre of thirteen ponies and the fact that Applejack was still alive and not dead.

This made him become disgusted, livid and even betrayed that Twilight Sparkle had been lying to him and to everyone else's faces about Apple Bloom being dead and for refusing to tell him nor anypony the truth about what actually happened with Applejack, leading Spike to abandon Twilight Sparkle and left Ponyville to never return due to Twilight Sparkle trusting her other friends but not him.

Twilight: "Spike…" Apple Bloom: "Yup. He was pretty hurt. He helped me snoop through your things when you weren’t looking, and we found all them notes you took about the Sleepless Potion. We found out that Applejack was the murderer because of your magic. He was so disgusted, he left. I don’t blame ‘im, I almost did too.	„

Pretty damn fittin’ if ya’ll experience what ya put my sister away for, so you could see fer yerselves what happens to ya. I expected a sh-t show, and none of y'all disappointed.	„
