Spring Bonnie is a major character from the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise.
He was the original Bonnie who appeared alongside Fredbear and was one of two springlock animatronics in the establishment. He was also the suit warn by William Afton to commit the murders that lead to the events that take place in the games, books and movie.
Why isn't He Heroic or Villainous?[]
- While the suit of Spring Bonnie was used by William Afton, the character himself lacks any characterization and has never appeared as a hostile enemy.

Games[]
Once a Wearable suit that was in use at Fredbear's Family Dinner, He was the character that played second fiddle to Fredbear. He was designed to be both an animatronic and a suit that could be warn by a human employee. At some unknown point possibly around 1983, and incident took place at an unknown location in which multiple springlock failures accrued and so the Spring Bonnie and Fredbear suits were retired and locked away. However and later date the suit was used by William Afton to lure children into a room and killed them. at some point possibly in 1993 William would put on the suit to hide himself from the souls of the children he killed but the Spring locks failed and Afton died a painful death and took Spring Bonnie with him as he would be resurrected as Springtrap.

In The Silver Eyes he is shown as the favourite suit of William Afton and warn to lure in children so he could kill them. Afton then later man handles Charlie Emily and She sets of the Springlocks of the suit and Kills him inside. However he would later return in The Twisted ones as Springtrap before William was entirely removed from the Suit before the events of the forth Closet.
Films[]
Like the other continuity's, it was used by William Afton to lure the children into the back room to kill them. Eventually it would become William's prison and will be where he resided for the sequels.
Appearance[]
Spring Bonnie's appearance is a far cry from the later generations of Bonnie animatronics. With have yellow or gold with a lighter yellow stomach accompanied by two black buttons and a purple bowtie (However in the book it is red) on the upper chest. The light yellow is also seen on the snout and inside of the ears. he has large green eyes and white teeth. Being made to be wearable, the suit has five fingers on both hands. He also has three toed feet as well as a rounder head and dark brown nose.
Personality[]
Spring Bonnie is a happy hyper-active fellow who always enjoys a party or 2. Usually positive.
He is most notable for being one of the few mascots to have animatronic suit hybrids, known as Springlock suits - as well as the main persona William Afton used to lure children during his killing sprees. A Spring Bonnie suit was also sealed in the safe room within Freddy Fazbear's Pizza after the incident of springlock failures from the "sister location". It was used one final time when Afton used the Spring Bonnie suit to hide from his past victims, however, the faulty mechanisms malfunctioned, causing the compressed endoskeleton to impale and kill him from within. Though deceased, Afton would return 30 years later, his body merged with the Spring Bonnie animatronic and possessed by his spirit, becoming Springtrap.

- In one of the nights of Five Nights at Freddy's 3, one of the tapes pertaining, Ralph states that "...the spring-Bonnie suit has been noticeably moved...", which is where the suit was given its "real" name of Spring-Bonnie.
- In the Night 4 minigame of FNaF 4, a more rabbit-like version of Spring Bonnie's head can be seen in the spare parts room, which may be the same one that will belong to Scraptrap.
- Spring Bonnie was intended to appear in Five Nights at Freddy's VR: Help Wanted, however they got scrapped after issues with the original logo containing a fan-design. Their textures still exist in the game's files.
- It is unclear which Spring Bonnie suit was used by William Afton to murder the children.
- Fruity Maze implies that he used the suit that would become Springtrap, but if Midnight Motorist is about Afton luring the Runaway Kid from his house, he was most likely using the Scraptrap suit, as the animatronic footprints have three toes.
- Strangely enough, despite being one of the most prominent characters in Five Nights at Freddy's, Spring Bonnie has never had an official model/ appearance in the game. (Not counting FNAF World, teasers and the minigames.)
- According to the The Freddy Files: The Ultimate Edition, William Afton took pride in his low-effort performances when he wore the Spring Bonnie suit.
