Squidward Tentacles is one of the main characters of the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise.
He is SpongeBob's apathetic next-door neighbor and co-worker, and is an amateur artist and clarinet player. This specific version of Squidward (known as Suicide Squidward and Red Mist Squidward) originates from the Squidward's Suicide creepypasta, more commonly known as Red Mist.
Why he isn't Heroic or Villainous?
- He isn't a villain as all he does is commit suicide. While there were mutilated children shown on-screen, they were not confirmed or even implied to be murdered by him.
Biography
Squidward is first seen in his house. He notices SpongeBob and Patrick outside which annoys him. He yells at them to quit it, so SpongeBob and Patrick decide to go to Sandy's.
Later, Squidward goes to his clarinet recital to perform, only to be met with hostile jeers by the crowd, including SpongeBob and Patrick who all have bloodshot eyes.
Depressed, Squidward walks home and begins to cry in his bedroom, as the camera pans closer to his face while split second images of mutilated children flash onscreen.
Squidward's eyes begin to bleed out, as he reveals his face. He then proceeds to shoot himself, as he is instructed to by an unseen voice.
The episode ends with Squidward's lifeless corpse lying on the ground, while he bleeds out.
Trivia
- This version of Squidward actually appeared in the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "SpongeBob in Randomland", when SpongeBob and Squidward open one of many doors.
- That scene had since been edited to remove him, replacing it with a baby version of Squidward. However, some countries still air the unedited version of the episode.
