Biography[]
He is the Heffley's neighbor and has three boys of his own. Frank appears to think of Stan as a manly man and compares Stan's sons on how better active they are compared to his own sons, as he watches from the house kitchen window of Stan's kids playing football outside thinking his own kids are too lazy for that. Stan is said by Greg to host big July the 4th parties every year and went to the same Wilderness Explorers troop as Frank and now leads his own scouting troop. During his party, he converses with Frank while grilling as they reminisce about their time as kids and how they both enjoyed camping. However, Stan questions if Frank really did use to love camping as there was one weekend during their camping trip where Frank cried a lot. Frank then noticed Stan's dog and recalls with his father how they used to have a dog. Stan encourages Frank to get a dog as it will be a good way to teach his sons responsibility.
He later appears near the end, as he and his troops take Frank and his kid's camping spot by beating them in a race to set up camp. Greg gets back at him along with his friends after he insults Frank secretly to his troop by calling him a "wounded gazelle". While attempting to set up traps, Greg goes into Warren's tent to plant some ants in their sleeping bags and cot. Greg finds out that his camp has more luxury than Mr. Barrett's camp and that Stan is cheating for having a TV, mini-fridge and ready-made meals. However, Stan makes his way back to the tent during his scout's exercise session, and Greg hearing the warning too late, hides under Stan's cot. Stan suspects raccoons broke into his tent, and Greg, while hiding, forgot about the ants as they go all over him, causing him to panic and Stan nearly attack him, still thinking it's an animal. In the process, Greg escapes, and Stan is entangled, causing him to toss the tent into the fire.
Stan confronts Frank for his kids being responsible for burning his tent. When Frank questions the kids, Greg confesses he acted alone. However, Greg's friends come to his defence to tell Frank that they were also involved, and Greg tries to get back at Stan for disrespecting Frank, and Greg tries to defend his father's honour. Without any apology for being called out on his disrespectful comments, Stan continues to insult Greg as a disgrace, to which Frank gets angry and shuts Stan up. Frank then notices and finds out about Stan's luxury camp setup and calls Stan out as a fraud. Without apologizing for his hypocrisy and deception, Stan arrogantly threatens Frank, Greg, and his friends that he'll “report” them all to the Wilderness Committee and walks away. As he does, he ends up falling into the honey trap and rolling down to a slope. An animated scene shows that the web causes Mr. Warren to fall down a cliff and get chased by a swarm of bees and a bear. Greg then mentions him that his troop disbanded, and he now hosts a badminton team for kindergartners so much to his dismay.
