Mickey Mouse, also known as Suicide Mouse, is a major character in the Suicidemouse.avi (originally suicidemouse) creepypasta. Found within an old film allegedly drawn by Walt Disney himself, this iteration of Mickey has been stated to be depressive and moody, walking down a desolate town on his lonesome. However, as the film goes on, both the town and Mickey slowly become more and more deteriorated, with a horrible secret lying at the film's end.

Neither Heroic nor Villainous[]

While the Suicide Mouse recording is horrific in nature, Mickey himself does absolutely nothing except walk before his death. While the employee who watched the tape until the end was driven to madness and killed himself, whatever caused it is left ambiguous, and the fictional character of Mickey is presumably innocent.
While Mickey is presumably the same as his original counterpart, absolutely none of his heroic (or villainous) actions are shown off or mentioned, making them irrelevant to this version's morality.

Appearance[]

Normal[]

Mickey Mouse's normal form is the same as his original version. He is an anthropomorphic mouse with black fur wearing round buttoned shorts and shoes. Due to the cartoon being done in black and white, Mickey's skin and shorts are white. Mickey's ears are stylized in a way that, no matter how his head is facing, his ears will always create a silhouette of two circles surrounding his head.

Distorted[]

Original Mythos[]

As stated in the original creepypasta, as time went on in the revealed second part of the cartoon, Mickey would slowly become more and more distorted. As his smile widened in the new footage, his eyes would suddenly roll off his face and onto his chin. His toothy grin would eventually start curling upwards, presumably wide.

Mainstream[]

In current depictions, Mickey's distorted appearance is different. Instead of his face began to fall, he will have a big smile with their teeth being visible, with his eyes turning white in his mania. This design originates from the version of the film created by GorixGorix.

Biography[]

Original[]

According to rumors, there once was a lost Mickey Mouse cartoon done by allegedly drawn by Walt Disney himself. The short was nothing spectacular, if a bit eerie, consisting of Mickey drearily walking past a set of buildings as the sounds of distorted piano keys being smashed plays in the background. The tape went on for a few minutes before cutting to black.

Employees once thought of that to be the end, but thanks to Leonard Maltin reviewing it during the process of porting all of Mickey's shorts to DVD, digitalizing the film reel revealed that the cartoon was far longer than it had any right to be. After six minutes on the cartoon had passed, the cartoon would cut back to Mickey, the distorted piano now replaced with an ever growing cry. Mickey's face in the last three minutes would change as well, going from depressed, to smirking, to having his eyes completely melt away as his grin grew wide.

The rest of the tape didn't fare well either. Colors never thought possible at the time started showing up, and the buildings started to break apart, with the madness continuing before the video suddenly cut to Mickey's face, just like any other cartoon's end. The last 30 seconds were left unknown to the public, with the sole person who was still in the room to watch it suddenly being driven to kill himself.

The final frame of the cartoon was allegedly a message written entirely in Russian, translating to "The sights of Hell bring its viewers back in". The film was locked away, but a copy of it, known as "Suicidemouse.avi", is floating on the web somewhere. The author wants to see what was in that film, and they want to know soon.

Notable Reinterpretations[]

Due to Suicidemouse.avi having no known author, as well as being one of the oldest known creepypastas available based on an original property, the story has been retold and remade numerous times over the years.

GorixGorix[]

Perhaps the most famous reimagining of the accursed tape, having been created by Cristóbal Gámez, username GorixGorix. GorixGorix's original video mostly follows the creepypasta, but instead of Mickey's eyes falling off, they grow and whiten, his grin becoming far too wide for his mouth. As the screams grow louder and the background gets more destroyed, the area around his eyes grows dark, and a massive fire can be spotted in the background.

After a while, Mickey starts speeding up, getting faster and faster as the screams grow loud. The film ends when Mickey suddenly drops dead, dropping a syringe he had on him this entire time. The tape jumpscares the viewer before immediately showing a demon (thought to be either Chernabog or the Devil himself) standing besides Mickey's corpse, its figure flickering in and out of existence.

This version was actually predated by an original character known as Magrolo Mouse, with his clip more or less following the exact same formula. Allegedly, GorixGorix has stated that Magrolo and Mickey are rivals.

Happy Mouse[]

Happy Mouse is a 2013 fangame by EnclaveG, with it being updated to Really Happy Mouse in 2014. Players assume the role of Mickey, having to navigate his way to the end of the level. Mickey must keep his sanity up by collecting items, otherwise the world around him will start to shift and contort. Mickey's state by the end of the game is determined by how much sanity he has left, from going his way as normal to potentially dying.

Five Nights at Treasure Island[]

Suicide Mouse, under the alias of Mortimer, is a minor antagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's and Sensational Six fangame series Five Nights at Treasure Island. Mortimer can rarely show up at any moment, disabling all other threats on that night and immediately making a beeline towards the office. There is no stopping him if he spawns.

Suicide Mouse: Relapse[]

Mickey is the main protagonist of Suicide Mouse: Relapse, a 2022 fangame created by Pnod. Things have been tense ever since Daisy took her own life. On a particular midnight, Mickey decided to take a little stroll to clear his mind, unaware that the night had other plans for him.

Players control Mickey, going about on the night. Given a shotgun, Mickey can either use the gun to kill his friends in his mania, or potentially fight off the demons who are lurking within the shadows of the town. Seven major endings are available to find.

The lengthiest ending, and as such likely the canon one, has Mickey find a flower to give to Donald, a gift so he could have something to give to show some respect for his bygone beloved. As a token of appreciation, Donald gives Mickey a key, its door only appearing if Mickey goes down into Hell and kills a demon there. He ventures downwards to find a shadowy rat, only to realize that the shotgun he wields only had room for one shot. Mickey flees deep into Hell, finding a switch that allows him to destroy the monster that's been messing with him this whole time, before succumbing to exhaustion and letting the flames consume him.

Wednesday's Infidelity[]

Mickey Mouse is the main focus of the Box Funkin' Team's 2022 Friday Night Funkin' mod Wednesday's Infidelity. After believing Minnie cheated on him for another man, Mickey was distraught, finding a syringe and injecting himself with its contents. However, just to his surprise, a young lad appeared, helping to work him through his issues before Minnie could get back and explain the situation to Mickey.

All seemed well, but just as Mickey decided to turn his life around, a sinister threat, Satan himself, was watching Mickey the whole time. Grown tired of trying to appear as the narrator of the mod, he kills Mickey and steals his soul, constantly reincarnating him in more and more deteriorated versions as an attempt of eternal punishment.

The mod's interpretation of Suicide Mouse mostly takes cues from GorixGorix's version of the character, as well as the old comic "Mr. Slicker and the Egg Robbers".

Mouse.avi (Re-Take)[]

Mickey is the main protagonist of mouse.avi (Re-Take), a reinterpretation of the story by horror artist vibingleaf, uploaded on New Year's Eve, 2022. After Mickey and Minnie had a massive falling out, Mickey was distraught, walking alone on the streets before he found an old photo of a boat. Reminded of his old best friend, Gideon, and how he was lost to the ocean in a shipwreck.

His sanity quickly failing, his pace grew faster as his mind slowly wishing to show everyone "who really is Mickey Mouse". As his mind grows frantic and the town becomes more and more destroyed, the Devil appears to claim his soul, with Mickey having caused enough trouble. Sent spiraling down an endless void, Mickey sees Gideon in Heaven and reaches out for his hand.

The remake ends with Mickey, dead in the middle of a burning town, bathed in the flames that he presumably started.

Trivia[]

The original author of the creepypasta is unknown due to originally being anonymously uploaded to 4Chan's /x/ board. While some sources state that the creator of the work is Alexander Culafi, where they got this information is unclear.
