Monster Hunter Freedom Unite introduced the Terra Shogun Ceanataur, a Carapaceon and subspecies of the Shogun Ceanataur.
Physiology[]
Terra Shogun Ceanataur is the same species as Shogun Ceanataur, despite the Guild's classification of it as a Subspecies. Particularly hostile Shogun Ceanataurs, Terra Shogun Ceanataurs have relocated to more hostile habitats, like swamps and volcanoes, in order to live alone. Terra Shogun Ceanataurs have a reddish-brown coloring due of the special nourishment these habitats offer. Terra Shogun Ceanataurs have much harder shells than the typical Shogun Ceanataur because of their harsh living conditions. They are further protected from invaders by their habitat, which also provides them with access to Black Gravios' noticeably harder skulls.
Except for an extra susceptibility to water on its back shell, the Terra Shogun Ceanataur shares the same elemental weakness as its more common version.
Abilities[]
As is typical for a rarer subspecies, the Terra Shogun Ceanataur is marginally more powerful, quicker, and healthier than the ordinary species.
Habitat[]
The volcano and swamp are home to Terra Shogun Ceanataurs.
