The Doorman is a recurring character from the kids' TV Series hit, Curious George. He is voiced by Bill Chott in seasons 1-2 and Lex Lang in seasons 3-6.
History[]
The Doorman is a middle aged man who works in a lobby and hotel in which Curious George and his friend, The Man with the Yellow Hat, lived in a many episodes of the series. His real name isn't known, but he has a different attitude than Ivan, an arrogant and selfish doorman who was part of the Curious George movie from 2006. The Doorman has a wiener dog named Hundley, and he allows pets in his lobby, but Ivan does not.
Personality[]
The Doorman is a kind and respectful person. He treats every member of his lobby with respect and is very fond with the Man with the Yellow Hat and Curious George. Every person that he meets, he respects them and allows them to take a room in the hotel. Hundley, his dachshund, is also kind as his owner, the Doorman, but sometimes Hundley gets annoyed with Curious George's antics, but overall, they are good friends.
Appearance[]
The Doorman appears to have black pants, those that many lobby men use to work at their jobs, such as lobbies. He also wears a red vest and jacket and his lobby hat is also the same color is his clothes. He likes his clothes to be neat and tidy, just like his lobby, and he always stays neat and tidy no matter the situation he is in sometimes.

- The Doorman was originally going to be female, but the creators decided to change him into a male character because he would give the show its "spark" that they need.
