Biography[]
Background[]
In 2015–2016, Tim Treadless was one of 10 candidates selected to train as a racing driver for the Biggs Racing team, under Ray Reverham's training. He trained at the Biggs Industries Racing Complex in Los Angeles, California, and served as team captain. He had good relationships with all his teammates except for Jackson Storm, the last to join the team, as during their first meeting Storm said that he was better at the race simulator and Treadless could learn from him, which started tensions between two. Storm's addition to the team was seen by all other racers as a marketing move tied to his e-sports background and the promotion of the Super Corsa 3 video game.
One day during training, Jackson bumped into Tim during a turn, denting his body, and claimed it was an accident. The next day, four trainees quit due to the competitive and stressful environment caused by Jackson. Reverham intensified the training, and Tim focused on improving himself to surpass Jackson's achievements. One day, Tim and Storm convinced Stats to wire to simulators together allowing them to race each other, breaking the trainer's rules while doing so. Jackson led most of the race in first position, but Tim constantly stayed on his tail won in a dramatic finish by a few centimeters, marking the first time anyone beat Jackson's time. While the team celebrated, Jackson accused Tim of cheating and caused a scene by starting to spin in place burning the rubber and generating smoke that activated a fire alarm and sprinklers. Reverham forced Jackson to apologize to Tim and the others. Ultimately, team owner Axle P. Biggs chose Tim Treadless to represent the team, valuing his character over Jackson's superior training results, as Jackson's behavior throughout training was deemed unsuitable for the brand.
Cars 3[]
In Cars 3, Tim Treadless joined the Nitroade team since Biggs Racing, which he was selected to become a racer for, never joined the Piston Cup Racing series. He replaced Phil Tankson, racing as #28. Tim debuted in the Piston Cup series mid-season in 2016 at the Motor Speedway of the South. He later finished 10th at the Grandol Oil Co. Raceway, 4th at the Mood Springs Sputter Stop 350, and 9th at the Bumper Save Gears and Glory 450.
Tim was racing during Lightning McQueen’s crash at the Los Angeles International Speedway, where he and Harvey Rodcap witnessing the accident up close and watched in horror. The following year, in 2017 he competed in the Florida 500, starting in 20th place. However, he was caught in a wreck, hitting Cam Spinner and getting pilled into him by Ryan "Inside" Laney. He suffered heavy damage and subsequently couldn't finish the race.
