Why aren't they heroic or villainous?[]
Biography[]
One of the numerous dinosaurs that InGen and Masrani Global cloned for display at Jurassic World on Isla Nublar was Toro. Toro, however, developed an excessive level of aggression at some time in his life and had to be relocated to a private enclosure away from the public's gaze.
When Darius Bowman and Kenji Kon broke into his pen, Toro stumbled upon them and assaulted them. Toro's inability to make abrupt turns worked against him, causing the animal to trip, and the couple were able to buy themselves some time until they were able to escape the paddock through a feeding cage. Toro scraped his face over the metal of the cage while attempting to reach Darius, who was unable to unlock the cage's opening, leaving a noticeable scar across his face.
The freshly escaped Indominus rex showed up at Toro's paddock a few days later. The Indominus engaged in a brief conflict with the Carnotaurus before breaching the paddock's gate. The Indominus didn't hurt him, though, and let Toro free to flee and wander the park. Most likely because both the Indominus and the Carnotaurus came to an agreement and shared some traits.
As Toro wandered the park, he accidentally blocked Darius and Kenji's party from getting to the park's monorail during the Mosasaurus Feeding Show. He first missed the group because he was too busy playing with a barrel, but Brooklynn, Kenji, and Sammy accidentally bumped against each other and caught his attention. He made an effort to examine the noise, but Darius's rock-throwing rapidly diverted his attention. As the party ascended the steps to the park's monorail, Toro began to follow them after losing interest in the rock. He ultimately became aware of their presence when the train's automatic welcome sounded. When he tried to attack them but continued falling down the steps, they finally gave way under his weight and the animal fell to the ground, allowing the children to flee. Following his quick recovery from his mishap, Toro made his way back to the Jurassic World Lagoon, frightening away camp counselors Roxie and Dave who had come to seek for the missing children.
Later on that evening, Toro managed to enter the park's tunnel network, where he ran across Darius' party once more and assaulted them before losing them in some vents. Darius and Yasmina Fadoula attempted to open a vent cover, busting through one behind them in an effort to get to Brooklynn, but the gang finally managed to leave after they were successful in opening the cover in front of them. This is where he discovered them again. However, Toro swiftly moved them again and continued his assault. Even though he busted one trap intended for him, Toro was tricked into another by utilizing pressurized air tanks and a taser to set off an explosion, leaving Toro with severe burns and disfigurement. Toro stared down at Darius once he had recovered enough to stand, then he limped away.
When Ben and Bumpy accidentally wandered into Toro's brand-new nest sometime after the battle, he pursued them aggressively until he lost interest. Ben came back over a week later to confront Toro, to face his anxieties, to drive the theropod off so he could pass the clearing. Ben, who was carrying a spear, engaged Toro in combat and scratched him; as payback, Toro threw Ben into the air. Bumpy, who is now a subadult, showed up and fought Toro, stopping her from killing Ben. Together, Bumpy and Ben ultimately forced Toro down a cliff to win the battle. Toro got up after falling.
After sliding down a gully, Kenji came into Toro. The Carnotaurus was about to attack him when Hawkes sprang atop his head and implanted a control chip, but the dinosaur pushed him off before he could turn it on. The chip was subsequently turned on by Kenji when Hawkes dropped the controller, rescuing Hawkes by mind-controlling Toro. Toro was under Kenji's supervision, and he liked the dinosaur. Later, Toro and many other dinosaurs were sent to Mantah Corp Island, along with Limbo the Baryonyx, a Dimorphodon, and Bumpy the Ankylosaurus (although Bumpy finally manages to escape being mind controlled). In the combat rings, Toro, the Dimorphodon, Limbo, and Asset 87, the Spinosaurus, were employed as test subjects. In the end, the combat ring business run by Mantah Corp was shut down, and he and the other dinosaurs were liberated.
Trivia[]
- Toro used to be in Villains Wiki since he wanted to have revenge on Darius and Kenji for accidentally scarring his face which is more than what an amoral predator does. He got deleted since there is no evidence suggests killing out of a human motive or desire since the whole idea of Jurassic Park is the humans are the real monsters.
