Tunnel Stalker is a posthumous character in the Ukrainian FPS Survival Horror video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow Of Chernobyl.
Tunnel Stalker is a corpse of a non-unique stalker at the dead end. He is one of the unique weapon users.
Personality[]
Not much can be said about the stalker's personality, since he is already dead at the start of the game, but it seems like the stalker was an extremely thrill-seeking individual, due to him entering the tunnel despite the numerous anomalies in there, since there isn't much reason to enter the tunnel, except for artifacts. Even so, the Garbage region is full of artifacts that are much easier to access. It is also possible that the stalker wanted to reach Agroprom using the tunnel, not knowing that it's a dead end.
It's possible that the stalker might knew a man who is implied to be a mercenary, Grizzly. There's a stash at the same tunnel where the stalker is laying, that can be gotten only through a dead merc.
Due to him having a unique weapon, it's implied that he might've been a technician who himself improved his weapon. However, it's possible that he could've find the firearm or improve it with a technician's help.
Appearance[]
Tunnel Stalker's appearance is randomized, but he usually appears with a Sunrise Suit, commonly used by Loners. It consists of light military bulletproof vest and a jumpsuit made out of rubberized fabric.
Biography[]
Nothing is known about the Tunnel Stalker's past, except for his possible connections with a mercenaries and partnership with Grizzly, who is implied to be a merc. At some point, the stalker obtained a unique variation of the Viper 5 submachine gun, either by improving it himself, or with help, or simply picking it up from someone else.
Eventually, the stalker entered the dead tunnel, either to bypass the Bandits blockade and enter the Agroprom or to collect artifacts or simply for the sake of it. Eitherway, the tunnel became his grave.
Mechenyj, after helping Seriy's Group defeat the Bandits, can ask Seriy, if the he survived, about the Garbage region, and Seriy would suggest Mechenyj to check the tunnel's end, implying that the former might knew something about the dead stalker.
Powers & Skills[]
- Marksmanship: The Tunnel Stalker was the possessor of the Viper 5 9x18, which is a modified variation of the submachine gun Viper 5. It's a much lighter and compact version, that was also redone to fit a wide-spread caliber 9x18, which can be found practically everywhere in the Zone, making it a true finding for beginning shooters.
- Mechanics Skills (Implied): The Tunnel Stalker might've improved the Viper 5 himself, due to the lack of technicians at the Garbage region and during that time.

- Tunnel Stalker is one of the neutral unique weapon users, possessing the Viper 5 9x18. Other neutrals being Vampire's Noiseless Viper, Fiend's Sniper Obokan, Sparrow's Noiseless Kora, Master's Lightened IL 86 Twig's Sniper SGI and Barin's Tunder 5.45. Tunnel Stalker is also the only unique weapon user who isn't a unique character himself.
