The Uragaan are a species that appears in the fantasy videogame, Monster Hunter 3.
Why aren’t they heroic or villainous?[]
- They are mainly minding their own business until the hunter comes.
Physiology[]
The hide of Uragaan is a glossy gold hue. The hard crystals along its back and the rock-like shell plating on its chin indicate that the Uragaan's robust exterior has evolved as a result of living in volcanic zones. It attaches explosive rocks to itself using a sticky, tar-like material covering its underbelly.
Abilities[]
Uragaan's unique talent is to boost its speed and agility by rolling its body into a wheel. It will repeatedly act in this way in an effort to subdue the hunter. Uragaan can roll quickly or more slowly, rolling in a figure eight to give the hunter another chance to attack it. In addition, it has the ability to release sleep gas and, like Gravios, release flames when angry. This will either cause Fireblight or put Hunters to sleep. Depending on the hue, the effect can be either red-orange or ghost-blue. When attacking, Uragaan will mostly utilize its powerful jaw to crush something into the ground. It can also launch an explosive rock strike by sweeping its large tail. Once this is done, all the explosive rocks in the vicinity will detonate like barrel bombs the next time Uragaan executes a strong jaw smash.
Habitats[]
The Volcano area is the main location of Uragaan. Its house is made of lava and rocks, where it is perfectly content. There are also occasionally Uragaans on the temperate Deserted Island. Elder's Recess is where Uragaan can be found in the New World.
