The Vaal Hazak are an Elder Dragon species that appears in the fantasy videogame, Monster Hunter: World.
Why aren’t they heroic or villainous?[]
- They are quite docile but become aggressive when the hunters attack them first.
Physiology[]
Elder Dragon Vaal Hazak is a long, lean dragon with a few distinct physical characteristics. The mushy crimson cloak covering much of its body hides the silver scales covering its body. Its remarkable twin lower jaws have a row of incredibly long, sharp fangs on each, resembling those of a deep-sea fish. It has two little red eyes and two brilliant yellow spots at the sides of its head. Its wingtips and toes are decorated with claws like sickles. Its stature is comparable to that of Teostra and Kushala Daora, two other Elder Dragons. Vaal Hazak may sustain injuries to his limbs, body, or head. Moreover, its tail can be cut off.
Behavior and Abilities[]
This dragon keeps to itself and does not permit other monsters to invade its domain. It may not always respond when a hunter approaches, but if it comes across a huge monster, it will turn hostile right away. It has a reputation for burying itself among the many bone mounds that dot the landscape. Vaal Hazak has the ability to collapse, and if it does, it will charge Effluvium for a powerful strike. There will always be some tainted flesh left behind from this. In Turf Wars, Vaal Hazak surpasses Odogaron in skill. It's interesting to note that, although having wings, the Vaal Hazak cannot fly without being mounted, allowing it to have the same level of aerial mobility as the Kushala Daora.
Vaal Hazak has the ability to envelop its body in the enigmatic Effluvium, a miasma that steals life. The drug can seriously impair a victim's physical stamina and strength as it accumulates in their body. The dragon can spew this miasma more fiercely, either as a concentrated stream out of its mouth or as a toxic cloud that covers a wide region. In addition, Vaal Hazak has the capacity to absorb the Effluvium from hunters and other afflicted creatures and reintegrate it into its own body, so killing the victim and mending itself. In order to halt Vaal Hazak's life-threatening onslaught on a hunter coated in effluvium, it's preferable to consume a nulberry as soon as possible. Its nimble nature enables it to travel at tremendous rates and even leap great distances at prey, in spite of its bulk.
Habitat[]
Vaal Hazak lives in the lowest depths of Rotten Vale, where it seems to have a symbiotic connection with the deadly mist.
